Tech Cocktail is partnering with the International CES to present Startup Night Downtown Vegas on January 5, 2015.
“We extended special invitations to Eureka Park startups that we reviewed and selected out of the few hundred they’ve got demoing at CES,” said Tech Cocktail’s Editor Ann Diab. “We’re excited to bring these startups to the Gold Spike in a similar fashion to the Startup Showcase events that you’ve grown to know and love from Tech Cocktail. This will provide a more intimate – and fun – atmosphere to get to know some of these startup founders.”
The event is free, but an RSVP is required here. The Tech Cocktail team suggests getting there early.
This event is off-strip at Gold Spike, part of Tony Hsieh’s Downtown Project. Complimentary shuttles will be available from The Venetian to the Gold Spike. Pick up times from the Venetian will be at 5:45 PM and 6:00 PM and The shuttles will have special signage that says: Startup Night Downtown Vegas.
The Tech Cocktail team encourages the local tech community to come see what the hottest, early-stage tech startups from around the country are building.
“We know that the Las Vegas tech community is going to love helping us host the startups and the CES attendees alike, so we hope to see all of #VegasTech in attendance!” said Ann Diab.
Some of the invited startups are visiting from other countries, including Israel, Spain, and France, and some of them are also looking for funding.
“One way the Las Vegas community can help by recommending that investors looking to get into the hardware or smart home space come down and get some face time with these startups,” Ann Diab said. “And the other way is simply by doing what you do best: come and mingle and be helpful to fellow attendees who are looking to learn more about #VegasTech! CES is providing two shuttles headed from the main conference right to the Gold Spike in order to bring attendees to the event.”
“I’m personally very excited that ilumi has agreed to demo at the event,” she continued. “The founders were part of Tech Cocktail week way back in 2013, appeared on Shark Tank, and can count Mark Cuban among their investors! That’s really exciting! That, and I love this smart lightbulb product. I’m excited about the other hardware that’s going to be showcased too: US company Motix, 3DRudder from France, wetech from Spain, and ZUtA Labs from Jerusalem all bring really cool products, and we’ll be announcing a few more soon.”
