The 8th edition of #SWLV is here!
Come start a company, learn something new, test your developer skills, maybe meet your future co-founder – either way you’ll have the most fun you’ve ever had! Entrants can sign up as developers, designers and non-technical professionals.
“Startup Weekend is a weekend-long event where the local community has the opportunity to come together and develop their idea,” said Claudia Perez, organizer for the event. “It’s important for the ecosystem because it allows entrepreneurs to come together to pitch ideas, learn business basics, build partnerships and ultimately, start companies, thus creating jobs and giving back to the community.”
The event is taking place November 21-23, 2014 at The Innevation Center.
“The first Startup Weekend in Las Vegas was organized by Shavonnah and Dylan, among a number of other key members in the community,” said Claudia Perez. “It was held on the 2nd floor of El Cortez and it was fantastic. The energy and entrepreneurial spirit exhibited in the 1st Startup Weekend has been persistent throughout the following Startup Weekends. We’ve seen a growing number of developers and a diverse group of people attend, which is great.
